Auditions and casting software for theatre groups
Post the call, take applications, run the day and cast the show, all in one place. Applicants need no password, and nobody is told anything until you send it.
An audition sign-up form
Write what the show is looking for and what to prepare, and publish the call. It appears on your public page and on Theatra’s auditions list, and anyone can apply without an account or a password: they confirm by clicking a link in an email.
- Applicants pick the parts they want and give their availability
- Your own questions, and an audition pack to download
- A parent or guardian confirms for a young applicant

Days and slots
Lay out each audition day in slots, solo or group. Let applicants choose a free slot when they apply, or ask for a time and approve it yourself. Move a slot and Theatra offers to move the later ones and email the people in them.

On the day
The running order shows who is on now and who is next, with their photos and details. Each member of the panel has their own box for notes, which save as they type and appear for everyone else.

Callbacks
Invite the people you want to see again. Give them a callback time, or let them pick one, and their reply shows on their profile.
The casting board
Drag faces onto roles: leads, supporting, ensemble, chorus, understudies and doubles. Mark each one proposed, offered, confirmed or declined. Nobody is told anything while you try ideas.
- A second cast for a second company
- Full screen for a projector in the casting meeting

Cast lists and offers
Confirm the cast and everyone confirmed joins the cast list, ready to email. Offer a part by email with a button to accept or decline. Rehearsal calls and the calendar use the cast list to know who to call.

What it costs
- Planning, casting and rehearsals are free on every show, on every plan.
- No charge per member, cast or crew: add as many people as you like.
